running to rich need advice

Hey guys so since the day I installed my aem wideband it has been running extremely rich. It will idle around 14-15 cruising its around 13-14.5 and as soon as I give it just a little gas it drops off to 10 and bottoms out at 10. What could be my problem? My car has never run that great after 5k rpm my car falls on its face and doesn't want to go if I give it a little less gas instead of flooring it it seems to pull just a little harder. My question is since I bought the car used could this be from a previous tune where the old owner removed some performance parts so in turn it affected the tune? Could a leak in my exhaust cause this? Mt buddy has a dsm n he said ti get rid of the same issue he put his mbc on and just turned the boost up. But I am already at 20psi full boost and it tapers to around 17. Any help would be great guys thanks

Well im planning on getting it tuned by a tuner around me kp tuning but I currently don't have the cash I was laid off work. I have my cams springs retainers and my 60kcar service kit I was going to get it tuned after I put them in butim just trying to figure out y it runs so rich I fouled out two sets of spark plugs in like 8k miles. So would it be a bad idea to raise my boost? Im also putting my turbid xs recirc valve back on

check for boost leaks, if you have a big enough leak it can make the car quite rich

+1. Also make sure to check all your vacuum lines. Make sure they are all zip tied down, and check the vacuum line to the EGR, that one has a tendency to pop off.

the vac on the back side of the EGR can be a PITA, i wouldnt raise the boost til it was tuned. If its on stock tune, I'm sure you know they are retardedly rich. Tune or Tactrix...

not tryin to hijack, but my car is doin this too lol I just got tuned by Mellon A WEEK AGO. Now at idle my AEM sits a 11.0-11.3? and under no lead its pinned at 10.0, this is cruisin in 5th gear under 3k. It was A LOT cooler today then it was when i got tuned. This has to have something to do with it. Thanks

If you want a good street tune, contact VR Speed Factory his SN on here is TSCOMPUSA very good at tuning. Also you need to get the basics anyways i.e.. Tactrix Cable and EvoScan. Im sure his price is cheaper then whoever Kp Tuning is and is better as well.

Hey Justin that doesn't make much sense bud. It was perfect when you left here and the temp wouldn't make that much difference at all. Even a massive boost leak wouldn't make it idle at 11.0 afr, in fact with a massive leak it would be leaner. I suspect your wb02 may be having a problem.

Try disconnecting your battery for a few minutes, reconnect and start it back up to see how it behaves. Shoot me an email with this conversation and we'll dig into this. It's gotta be something weird going on like the wb02 gone out of calibration.
