I want to put a job out for bid. Obviously you do not have to make your bid public, please send me a PM.
Looking for an estimate
Situation: 03 evo 8 motor 18k stock miles. Low compression in #3 cylinder. I just got the motor out of the car and its on a skid waiting for the right shop to work on it. never had a failure or anything. ran great, i just got sick of not having the power i should have. bought the car this way.
looking to do a complete rebuild and re assemble of the block and head so that it will more safely handle a 6262 on e85 while spinning a bit higher (9kish)
Also i would like to have the maintenance items replaced that go with a 60k service. I know the motor only has 18k miles but it is 7 years old and this is the perfect time.
obviously i know there can and will be some unforeseen costs for miscellaneous parts and processes, but i would like a close estimate.
So rather then call a couple dozen people asking for quotes i figured i would post my situation and save everyone some time and make it more convenient.
So any shops interested in doing the work please feel free to let me know what you would charge and the parts you will be using. Standard bore, standard length.
(rods, pistons, bearings, valves, springs, retainers, cams)
