The big decals (I hope) look like APR, APR on bumper, HKS on front bumper and wing, not sure what's on the rocker panel and what ATX is.
For interior I see a rexpeed e-brake handle, Turbo timer, boost gauge, real fast and furious shift light lol, and I'm not to sure what's on the center console. The gauges under the hvac are stock.

Can't tell what the exhaust is. In the engine bay obviously an aftermarket exhaust mani. There's an UICP, ets intake? MBC, and the intercooler looks aftermarket, and some other stuff I can't really identify.

So definently not a stock Evo IX lol. If you're truely interested in it you should try and contact the previous owner.

Yeah the Decals (i hope) will be the first thing that I take off. Also how come the boost gauge is in such a horrible spot? It looks like its blocking the view of the tachometer, and what about the turbo timer are most of them normally so big? (yes i'm a noob)

Another question what is the positives/negativies of just putting the boost gauge + turbo timer on the A-pillar?

Any Idea how I would go about getting in contact with the old owner? this is being sold at a dealership. Should I post in the regional sections of this forum? maybe he's a member here

Also I'm not too sure if I want to get a modded evo, but I definitely want a evo 9 and a RR, and this is the only one I've seen in a few months in my area. But I'm not sure if I like all these mods done to it.

Another question what is the orange thing? and also what is the third gauge to the right? (another noob question)

The orange thingy is the turbo timer and the third gauge is the factory boost gauge that comes in the MR.

The boost gauge is in that spot because he put in a aftermarket Tach (it's a tach meter, not a turbo timer) on the A pillar.
The orange thing is a turbo timer, the 3rd gauge is the factory MR boost gauge (read in bar instead of psi).

Ahh I was gonna say what is up with the huge tachometer on the A pillar, it looks out of place. I'm assuming the previous owner put it on because the boost gauge was blocking the tach on the dash? Would the huge tach be easy to take off?

Also would it be easy to take off the boost gauge near the tach (on the dash) Also is a boost gauge even necessary since the MR comes with a boost gauge.

edit: also what about that green light right next to the boost gauge? is that something that lights up and tells you when to shift to the next gear? I'm assuming that's not from the factory? Would it be easy to take off?

Looks like an aftermarker diverter/blow-off valve along with what I presume would be an intercooler sprayer? ACD reservoir also isn't filled up and there's 3 buttons/lights right behind the hand brake in the first interior picture. How much did the dealership want for this?

I do wonder why the guy got a fast and furious style tach and another boost gauge, and also why he decided to put it infront of the orignal tach. I have one of those steering colum gauge pod holder where my boost gauge sits infront of the speedometer (it's fine for now, it only gets in the way if you're going 125+mph). I'm also wondering what those switches are on the center console, and I have no idea what the green light is on the gauge cluster. One way to try to find the previous owner is go to the regional forums and ask if anyone knows him.

The dealership is asking 30k for it, it has 18.5k miles 2006 evo mr

Obviously that is overpriced in my opinion, how much do you think this should go for?
what would be a market value for an evo like this?

and yes, I was gonna ask what are those 3 buttons?

the ones near the e-brake

I think i'm gonna go to the regioinal forums and ask anyone knows him thanks for the advice.

Just a question though do you think it would be a good idea to stay away from this evo since it seems pretty heavily modded? or can you really not tell me unless you saw it in person?

wow 30k for 06 mr, even a 08 gsr cost less than 30k, my friend bought his 08 evo x mr for 30,888 with 7k miles. even 25k is still high for this mr, plus tax its close to 30 and its a 6 year old car :/

yeah I know, I don't know why they think anyone would pay 30k for a 6yr old car

wasn't the msrp on a evo mr in 2006 like 35k? So in 6 years its been driven 18k miles and only depreciated $5,000 in value..

What would be a good price for this car in your opinion? like 22-23k?

It would be alot easier to tell how modded it is if someone saw it in person. To me now that I think of it the previous owner could of easily have tracked it every weekend. It has a lot of weird buttons and lights so it seems like it could be very plausable that it is heavily modded, mabye even the previous owner had it built. I don't want to tell you want to do but if I were you I'd wait for a cleaner RR evo to show up.
I think a good price for an 06 MR is ~$24000 depending on where you live and how close to stock it is

I'd rather buy a stock evo, but I don't know if I can find a RR evo 9, they seem pretty rare. Especially one with such low miles 18k. But of course I don't want to buy a car that will give me problems in the future.

Thanks for your input, I'll take it into consideration. As I said in the post above I wouldn't want to buy a car that will give me problems in the future.

edit: Also just throwing it out there I checked the free carfax report on it, and it says that it was repossessed. Not sure if that make any difference.

^^Reposessed? sounds like the guy spent all his money on the car instead of actually making his payments. I say just keep on searching, you'll find one eventually, might be local, might be cross country.
