I have a stock 05 viii with the ssl package, so typically when i lock and unlock the car the lights will flash and ill get a chirp from the horn. here's the problem: i unlocked my car this morning and everything was fine. I drove it for literally two minutes got out and pressed the remote twice to lock it and chirp the horn and nothing happened. The doors locked, but no lights or horn. its the same with unlock. Nothing unusual happened while i was driving and i checked to see if i blew a fuse, but i didn't see any that were blown... I tried searching for this prob but i couldnt find anything similar with the stock security system. Has anyone else had this problem??? What is the next thing i should look at?

Since you have the stock security system, did you accidentally kick the arm and disarm button that the dealer usually puts by the kick panel next to your clucth?

 

All of my vehicles do that if one of the doors is not shut all of the way.

 

that happened to my evo9..my stock lock remote got unprogramed...look into ur manual i believe all u have to do is reprogram it!

 

I get lights and horn only when locking. I get lights only when unlocking.
