now that i see you doing 2.3 thats a stock motor just bored and larger crank so nothing needs to be changed to be honest. compression is really on what you want the car to do i always tell people higher then stock like 9:0 or 9:5 range then you can do e85 and pump the people that do 10:1 and up straight run e85 from my readings when i was building mine in the 10:1 range running your car on pump can be tricky and semi dangerious but if you using the car just for Tracking no DD duty 10:1 and up all day long if its gonna be more of a all around car then get lower compression. There are a couple built shortblocks for sale in the forms so maybe you can get one of those on a great deal and just run what it has

Well im not plannin on using e85. My goal is a nice strong motor and reliable. Somethin that when i step on the gas i can feel that boost in a moderate way. Tryin to get 500hp maybe mids. Daily car. Maybe track day once a year!!! Would u recomendw to do any upgrades in the head like valves, retainers and springs???

since your not doing e85 you will need a bigger turbo for 500s so like a 35r or fp black to reach your goals. The stroker is a great ideal as well 2.3 or 2.4 for sure. As far as built head OF course now you dont need to go crazy with the head but i would say cams(gsc s2 kelford 272, fp4rs) mild port job you can keep the stock valvetrain go ahead and upgrade the springs and retainers for peace of mind. that will be good enough and better then stock. Headgames has a nice package where they do all that for you just supply parts. Everything else standard for you then at this point nothing more special unless you want bling factor. might want to consider a tubular manny to get more power up top as well. another thing you need to highly consider since your staying on pump is porting as many peaces as possible hotside intake throttle body etc. But again all this really depends on your budget for real how much do you have to play with then i can really get real with what is most important. DONT FORGET YOU WILL NEED A CLUTCH TO HOLD ALL THIS POWER EXEDY TWIN DOES WONDERS. All this stuff is starting to add up man just letting you know. so give me a number and ill give you a parts list with avg prices so you can get real for a second and see how much 500 REIABLE WHP will cost you. im not talking about meth with avg mods etc a real build

I know power cost money!!! I already have most of the stuff in the car. This is what the car have as we speak, 1200cc injectors,255 hp walbro, gsc2 cams, ams turbo back, invidia 02 housin, ets 3.5 intercooler, act 2900 clutch kit, spoolin up coils, koyo evo 6 radiator, ams lower pipe, custom 3inch upper pipe, tial bov, speed density, invidia exhaust manifold, this is what the car has so far.
Now what i wanna do is 2.3l stroker kit and the fp black. I need to know whats my best option on pistons ( compresion) and if i should upgrqde retainers, springs and valves?
