I had trouble with my Aftermarket one as well. The flap isn't completely closed.
Couple things to test. If it does this again, put car in neutral with handbrake on. Open hood. on the THrottle Cable return spring (on throttle body), attempt to pull back the spring a little (attempting to close it). On mine it didn't feel like it moved, but the idle would fall back to normal.
The other thing to try is when it revs high, slowly release the clutch (no gas). Just before it stalls, push clutch in. This one is a little trickier.
If either one of these methods works, it's possible your throttle body needs fixed.

I have a similar issue where the rpms don't seem to drop as quickly sometimes when I let off the throttle. An example of this is slowing for a stop. Sometimes, the brakes feel like they are fighting the engine and it takes a second or two for the revs to drop. My car is stock TB, stock tune. I tried cleaning the TB with carb cleaner and a rag, but haven't watched the TPS through EvoScan.
