black smoke. low bolt. batt?
So my car DVD started blinking and my radar detector turned off while saying low volt.
I wot in 1st and the car didn't boost as much. But went while shooting a lot of black smoke.
My battery is givi,ng off 12v. But now the car won't start. It doesn't even attempt to crank.
When I jump the car, it will start right back up. But dies in a couple of minutes.
Could this be due to the alternator?

Just happened to me last week with a one month old battery. It wound up being the mini battery and it was replaced for free. They tested it and it had perfect voltage but would instantly fail a load test. All good now.
