Part Out? Yay or Nay
Part Out? Yay or Nay
Hey guys, kinda new to the forum so not too sure if this is in the right location.
But I have a 2003 Apex Silver Evo (bought it last month). I was able to drive it for 2-3 days and it suddenly died (injectors arent firing). Ive torn everything apart to try and find the solution but nothing. Cant tap into the harness since the previous owner did a "not so great wire tuck" to check the injector ground or anything for that matter. So Ive given up on this evo. What would be the easiest way to make my money back? Selling as whole or part out? What do you guys think?
Thanks

I lost my job recently and im not sure on how much it would cost to get fixed. Bad excuse I know but Ive replaced the Crank Angle Sensor and the Camshaft Postion Sensor. Since at the beginning I didnt have fuel or spark.
Yup, 4th gear at about 35 mph and suddenly died. Hasnt started since. I pulled the fuel rail and gave it a couple cranks. Theres 43 lbs to the regulator and its getting to the rail just not through the injectors.

Have you checked fuses to make sure none are blown...I'd start with fuse number 1 under the dash...I know mine blew and it died while driving and would not start after that...try small things first.
Behind the driver side kick panel there are a few plugs from wires going all over the place. If water gets into the plugs, lots of things may not work. I had a plug that the connections were green from getting wet
my car had a kinda the same problem when it just died, ended up being a clog in the fuel line from sitting for almost a year and a half.
try blowing out the return line and feed lines of course have them disconnected from the fuel pump housing and tank

Just got done ripping apart the harness and cleaning all the melted electrical tape off. I found 3 wires that were pulled in half. 2 run to sensors and 1 runs to the relay box. Cant remember which but its either the Engine Rpm Detection Connector or the Starter Relay. Would either of the cause being bad cause the injectors not to fire?
