Remedy for heat soak?
Well after driving, just cruising using little to no boost I've noticed my UCIP gets very hot to the touch.
I have short route SS piping and a turbo xs fmic. Seems as if the fmic is getting heat soaked.

or a different FMIC.
Have you logged the car over a few pulls? Is it picking up knock?

Logging on a pull, picks up 1-2 counts. I haven't logged consecutive pulls during the day either. The knock it picks up is on part throttle before wot. My tranny is so loud that doesn't help much.
It's been picking up that amount of knock since the tune last November. I'm getting a retune soon and just want to make sure the car is good to go.
I have my $ on a new fmic, I heard about the turbo xs fmic after I bought the car and was told they're not good.
I can agree with a better IC, don't think I need a bigger fmic the current one is a nice size for a stock 8 turbo on 24psi.
What would be normal engine bay temps with a turbo? Pretty much stock under the hood too. On a hot humid day under the hood, everything is hot even the air filter which is why I want to get a shield.
Logging the one hot day after idling for a few minutes, IAT was around 120F.

Well I noticed after driving, my fmic is cold and my ucip is cool from the bottom then as I you go up it's hot. It's from the engine bay heat, need to find a way to keep the cold side cooler.

look into either exhaust header wrap, or they make a type of insulation that goes over the piping thats silver reflective type they use to keep temps down on other things. I forget what its called just buy some of that and wrap it over your uicp just keep it an inch or two from your couplers and zip tie them down, should help keep the temps down. good luck. But my 0.02 a better fmic, i noticed swappin my 3" xs engineering to my 3.5 ets helped a lot.
