Is it on the foam or the fabric?

Hmm...

That makes it more risky. If it was out of sight out of mind... you could put stuff on it and be done not having to worry about what it looks like.

This website and others (I just googled "how to get mold out of fabric") and this came up...

http://moldblogger.com/how-to-remove...from-clothing/

But I'd be very cautious... try everything in a hidden spot.

Vacuum the seats thoroughly, use vinegar in a spray bottle and spray directly onto the mold and all around it. Let that sit for awhile then wipe it off, use warm water in and wipe down the seats very good. (better yet, if you have access to it, a steam cleaner will work better....) After the wipe down with warm water, vacuum off with a wet vac. Let 'em dry out in the open for a day.

Just buy a $100 steamer/capet shampoo.
I got one just dedicated for my 4 cars. It's pretty much needed for when you have 2 kids and pets.

Steam is probably safe.

Upholstery work is no joke. If you've never done it... I don't recommend starting on a nice back seat.

Steam is the best/easiest way to clean upholstery, without worry of ruining the seat. But steam may not kill all the mold and the spores. Vinegar will do that, and you'd really have to pour it onto the fabric by the bottle to wreck it.
