Has anyone tried this ebay Double DIN Conversion Kit

I'm searching for a solution for my HVAC relocation and came upon this kit on ebay. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this kit. It does seem kinda pricey.

dude you would be better off finding a used orbital kit for that price... that crap isn't worth $250 IMO.

Trust me I would much rather have an orbital kit, but the problem is finding one.

either way, there's a how to on these boards that is a DIY hvac relocation that costs way less, and the upper JDM DD piece can be had for around $60 iirc.

Here's the great How-To thread:

You can try and run through the steps yourself, or you can pay him to make you one. I've been in contact with him recently and it will take a few weeks, as he just does this on the side.

i went about doing the First DIY double din kit by the member King arlesse... worked out well for me... not the greatest but i will eventually do a little fixing up of the Hvac when i can get some time. as for buying either the ebay kit or an orbital kit, i think anyone who would dump $200 plus dollars for a piece of plastic is just a fool with money. if the piece was going for maybe 50 bucks id say yea why not, but in the hundreds range for a piece of plastic i mean cmon really?

still looking for lancer orbital kit

Thanks for the reply's however i need the lancer orbital kit and not the "Cyanide customs'' kit overall design is different of the Orbital kit is a little better (IMO).

So anyone who has a Orbital kit and want to sell it Ill pay $450 for it or just let me borrow the lower a/c relocation part of it for a month ( so that I can take a 3d scan of it) then reproduce one on a 3d printer. Ill pay $250 to let me borrow one. This is for a project lancer rebuild that we are doing. please email me at Custominstallparts@gmail.com .

Thanks all.
