fuel issues.. please help!!!!

hi everyone.
i drive an evo 8 and i was at the dyno 3days ago and i was getting fuel cut at 5000rpm. they tuner said the fuel pump isn t going in high pressure mode wot.

can someone shine some light on me please. could it be a fuel pump relay, fpr, or the fuel pump itself.

and also the fuel pump won t prime when i turn the key, but it starts up fine and drives normal.

help me please!!!!!

Are you running a walbro or stocker?

What other mods are you running?

how old is the walbro,

what is your injector duty cycle at?

ive personally never heard of a fuel pump going into high pressure mode. maybe your spark plugs are out.

Check to see if the fuel pump is getting power when you turn the key to prime. If no power then, it's not the fuel pump that's the problem, if it is getting power and not priming, then it's the fuel pump.

So, the old fuel pump was getting power, just not priming? You then replaced the old fuel pump with a new one and it's still not working? Am I understanding correctly.

What did the TUNER suggest that you do to resolve your fuel pump not going into "high pressure mode"?

Keep looking

Hello ,
My son's evo 8 doesn't prime either.
I've checked all the fuses /relays and wiring at the kick panel plugs. Nothing there.
Oddly enough this car has never primed , except when we had the transmission and tcase out. When we put the car back together and started it that first time it actually primed. First time for us. We where blaming it on the alarm system that is fitted. Clifford. But I tried to disconnect it yesterday , but it is too deeply wired into the car to make a simple disconnection.
I'm thinking now that maybe a connection in the engine bay. When we get time I'll start wiggling wires while my son try's the key on and off.
Good luck

No luck

Well I've jiggled the wiring and still nothing.
Could the ECM have ben tuned and the prime function terminated?
