I was looking at the HKS SSQV4 blow off valve on lancershop for the Evo IX and it says it won't fit the MR models. Does anybody know why? Is the blow off valve set up on the MR models different from the GSR? I thought they were the same. Can someone give me an explaination why it won't fit on an MR before I buy the wrong bov. Thanks!

Don't buy that BOV its a piece of junk. I have one in a box in my basement collecting dust.

 

y is it so bad? i mean other then the flutter but what BOV doesnt?

 

Not many have been able to get there EVO's to behave properly with it even recirc.

So unless your going SD I'd look elsewhere.

 

cars are just diff, mine is not recirc and idles fine, it was on the car when I bought it. Havent had any reason to change it...

I have one on my ix with No problems, OEM was leaking.. I am running SD though.

 

I have one on mine (recirculated) was on the car when I bought it no problems that I know of.
