any tips for cleaning a titanium exhaust?

Ok so i have searched on here about how to clean titanium, and have heard to use wd40. I tried that but it did not do anything hardly.

I also read to use Nevr-Dull so i went and got a can today and it cleans some of it but the majority it don't. I know you guys are wondering why i want to clean my exhaust but I'm just a neat freak and like everything clean plus nothing beats the titanium look.

So here is a pic of how dirty it is and just wondering if anybody had some more tips on making it look new. Any help would be appreciated!

I used neverdull on mine. You really have to put alot of elbow grease into it. Rub it really hard all over several times, and let it dry for a few minutes. Then wipe it off and repeat as necessary.

That is what I'm using. I've been at it for about a hour and a half and I'm slowly getting the blue tip to show again

As far as the rest it seems to me like the titanium itself has faded and there is no bringing that back.

Perhaps try messaging Greddy and see what they suggest? Otherwise... try the nevr dull and get the whole thing sorted out.

Use some steel wool and regular window cleaner like Windex. That combo polishes metal very well.

Unfortunately it would appear that you have used both abrasive and tarnishing products previously on that exhaust. Some of it looks like chemical and the marring looks like you used an abrasive polish. Always test products on a non-visible portion of the exhaust like the top of the piping, before applying it to the visible portions.

Nah man i haven't. The only thing i did to it before the Nevr-Dull was use some steel wool and Wd40 which did not work as you can see.

Thanks to everybody for your advice!

I don't think the Wd40 worked due to the fact that since Ive owned the car (about a year and a half) i have never tried cleaning it. So i believe more than likely that whatever it is on there is caked on and will not come off easily.

what I have used on all my exhausts and they have always worked great is wet sanding. First off I use 1500 git, make sure to get all around evenly. feel around to make sure you get every spot. Next go over to 2000 grit doing the same. then apply 3M rubbing compound and if you can get your hands on a buffer use it, if not its ok. Next apply meguiars chrome polish by hand.

this has always worked for me, good luck

not a good pic but heres the stock itr exhaust I did a couple weeks ago. the entire tip was tip look like a muddy brown before.

Nah, so far just tried wd40 and Nevr-Dull. I have not tried any polishes due to the fact that i want to keep the titanium look and afraid that it will make it look chrome.
