Perrin Intake quick ?

hey guys so i was looking to get the perrin intake because i am told that it has the best performance gains. just some questions i had about it i was always sure that having a hard pipe was always better? the fact that this is a full silicone type pipe it is fine? no collapsing or anything? and also is there a hole for the recirculation of the stock DV? i cant see one in any of the pictures that are posted on the websites. any info on this intake would be great thanks!

Yea I have it and worked great when I was on the factory maf. It won't collapse and the fact that its silicone, pretty much insulates it from heat in that one spot. Their filter is fan-facking tastic! Best out there IMHO!

Edit: and yes there is a hole for the recirc.

Does anyone know if the Perrin filer is compatible with an AEM short ram intake system?

There's a great filter comparison WITH DYNO numbers if you search (I'm not trying to be a search ****... but you'll see it).

Also, many people including Buschur themselves recommended to keep the stock intake pipe. Wondering how people feel about this?

The stock intake pipe is small and restrictive, you're best off replacing it with an aftermarket version. I'm a fan of the silicone intake tubes since they closely mimic the stock tube's routing which has less affect on the MAF than some of the metal pipes do. The other nice thing is you can easily trim them with a razor blade to get the exact fitment you want, this is especially beneficial if you're mixing & matching brands between the intake tube and air filter.

Well this is all very fascinating... why do you suppose Buschur would've mentioned that I should be sticking with the stock intake pipe then? Perhaps a misunderstanding?

Yeah, because I was emailing them to inquire about their stock intake pipe. Anyway... as usual, thanks for the info!
