I went to the local Mitsu dealer on Friday to find out about getting an extra key and a remote for my EVO.

I was quoted $94.65 for the replacement key (transmitter key), and $29.50 for the Remote (transponder) plus they want to charge me an additional $80 in labor to set up the key and remote.

Has anyone had to replace both items ? What did it cost you ?

 

I recently went to the dealership to get an extra key made. It was $44. I programmed the key to the car using the instrutions from the owners manual.

 

I only have one key currently. I think that if you have 2 Keys and are adding one you can do it yourself.

Any further input would be great.
