2006 Mitsubishi Outlander Limited does indeed come with automatic climate control

I've sent a message to RussellM in hopes that he can get me some part numbers so that I can try and accumulate some parts for the car and see what happens

Though, I suppose I should pull my HVAC control unit to make sure that 16-pin connector is there before I get into this again...

If you need part numbers just let me know. I work for Mitsu
The 16 pin connector is there for manual or automatic but it is wired differently. Completely different operation on the evo than on an auto ac outlander. Again why a patch cable is best.

Good to know The nicest thing would be to find the male plug that would match up to the 16-pin we have (and female for the other end) so we could make a 2-3" harness that would clip right in and not require any cutting

I sent RussellM a PM regarding the three servos (mode, air mix, in/out) and they came back looking like the same ones from the UK evos so i'm assuming the functionality is the same. i haven't actually done much research with the part numbers yet. the same result was for the blower motor that appears to be the same as the UK evos

https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/mits...MML6&group=010

Thats a very nice page to see the mitsubishi part numbers and the code numbers from the drawings. much easier to tell what goes where

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...e-control.html

Linking that also for people who haven't read it, LeXcite was the one who converted his car to auto AC

This is giving me hope...!

+1 i have some on the way as well

this thread inspired me to start this project again

Does anyone know if the RHD vent motors are the same as the LHD vent motors? or are they "opposite" of each other?

Well, I dropped money on parts so they're on the way...

peanut1234 is visiting Europe and bringing back a bunch of parts for me to get this on the road. Only thing I have left to order is the blower motor and a control unit and have those shipped over

I'll be sure to do a write-up with all the parts i used and all the wiring that's needed along with related pictures

I'm excited now

My "hobby table" as it's put. Sub box, COP setup I make, speaker wiring for when the sub goes in, and the magic HVAC controls!

JDM HVAC control-chbbmroh.jpg

I also have the blower motor, and an evo 7 lower, evo 7/8 upper (located where our stock controls are) and evo 8 lower control boxes. I'm not sure which I'll be using yet but I've got options! I have three because the upper I bought a number of months ago off the forums for dirt cheap as "in case I actually go through with this" (now I am, it paid off haha). The 7 I bought for $16 shipped on ebay and my friend in europe packed it in his bags and brought it back, and the 8 lower i bought from the guy i got the rest of my parts from

i'm still waiting for him to get back from vacation as there are some smaller pieces that i didn't realize I needed so he's going to let me know and send me a price on those

But, teaser pictures are in! it's becoming a reality! I've got 90% of the connections mapped out; only ones I need to trace back are for the blower motor to the fuse it's on (should be able to just re-use the stock connections for this) and something for the internal/external air mix motor (same deal). closer and closer...

First thing I need to do is crawl under the dash and make sure these servo's can mount up to the USDM car. The only thing I didn't consider was that the RHD and LHD models may have different electronics. I know the air mixer boxes are different, but for some reason I just figured the servo motors were all the same

I've been waiting to hear back from my guy in Europe but he told me a few days ago he was leaving soon for a 6-week vacation and I haven't heard anything back in two days so I may be stuck waiting again until he returns...

looking back at the pic that you posted. what kind of connector is the one that connected to your outside temp sensor (the one that mount on the fan)?
