The motor was yanked yesterday and thought I'd share some of the carnage before the actual motor is built... if you're going to blow a motor do it in style LOL
cracked rod in half

another cracked rod

what's left of a piston

broken cradle

balance shaft bent

crank pulley destroyed

and one side of the block, had 4 hole total

last is my trustworthy ACT HDSS Clutch that lasted me 80K miles, pretty damn good

The Head had little to no damage, which was all I could hope for, the Crank on the other hand was shredded, future project plans to come...

lol You sure did it in a magnificent style.... So I guess none of those parts arent going to be salvaged for the new build cause based on those pics I would not even trust reusing a bolt from that wreck. My question is how much boost you had on it and did you do it intentionally knowing you are going to do a fully built motor?

im jealous. thats amazing and terrible all in one
nice work. i was told by a couple savy evo guys never boost in 5th on a stock block/rods. guess they might know something. good luck with the new build. i got a shortblock if your looking for a core

Never low rpm... high load on the motor, low revs, lots of boost = kaboom. I never get on it in 5th until I'm over 4.5k rpms for that reason. Epic destruction OP... thats amazing damage.
