350-370HP/TRQ EVOs, what's your gas milage

Ok guys, be honest who gets the better gas on what parts you put on your cars.

I chose 350-370HP coz that's the somewhat desirable HP for most without sacrificing too much gas.

Be specific what EVO you have (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10/ RS, GSR, MR)

Let the bragging who get better gas starts now!!!

There is already a gas mileage thread and this one is pointless. You will only use as much as as you floor the car around. If you floor it all the time you are going to get crap mileage, if you don't then you will get good mileage.

HP really wont effect gas mileage too much. I actually think I got better Mileage when I was making over 700 whp on my 6262 because of the lag I wasn't in boost as much driving around.

You are correct in stating that the correlation between HP and fuel economy ~ 0, however with that stated, the amount of fuel required to produce said HP under load increases exponentially as HP increases.

Everyone knows that if you have a lead foot, your fuel economy will be terrible. But having a high HP car also means high fuel consumption under spirited driving, more so than let's say a 200 HP honda.

Fuel mapping also makes a big difference and wind resistance/drag also factor in.

I could baby the throttle and get 350+ miles a tank, but when running late, I'd get less than 180 miles a tank.

Changing your driving habits more than anything will boost your fuel economy more than 400 Hp vs 200 HP cars.

my old EVO IX MR, I used to get around 21-22mpg. I was pushing around 360-370whp

On topic: I have a 05 RS, 331HP/326TQ and I average 23mpg. On highway only, I get 28.

anyway,

~350whp (full bolt ons, gsc s1s, stock turbo at 25psi) and i get about 27mpg - there is a trick.. it's the tires. i get 23mpg at best on the rs3's.. 25, 26, 27 all day on continental dws

i think the tune helps, my tuner tuned all aspects of the car, including cruising around and part throttle etc.. i think it really helps

335/320 uncorrected Mustang dyno @ high elevations on 91 octane in my 2005/5-speed it get between 25-28mpg @ 75mph.
