I drove my best friend STI for one week i thought its the same cheap as the EVO. We think its not but if you look closly at the metrial its the same, its just more shiny and softer to the touch. Both cars are fast and nice. I dunno why people complain about inetrior quality (remember its a rally car and you have to make it light) if you want fast and quality build buy a GTI R32. good luck

When I saw the STi on pictures I thought it was of superior quality but when I actually sat in one it felt that Evos interior was of better quality.
Only thing I find much nicer on STi is the gauge cluster.
Fit finish interior wise I'll give the nod to Subaru. As far as dealerships go, Subaru is less of a headache than
dealerships. My neighbor has an EVO
We swap cars for work regularly. Its really a toss up as to overall mechanical quility. I'd say a slight edge to Subaru. Either way the cars are pretty much siblings if you ask me. They migh as well have come from the same dill hole. Since I can't afford both I'm happy with the arrangement I have with the neighbor.
