does dry ice really remove small dents?

i was searching dent removal rechniques and saw a few videos of dry ice removing small dents, such as hail dents, but i wasnt sure if it would actually work, or if its a bad idea becuase of the clear coat on the evo. basically i was jumping my car the other day, forgot i left the driver door open, turned around and dinged it with the jump box, yeah i was pissed, lol, since this probably is a dumb idea, if anyone knows of any good, cheap dent removals, let me know please, thanks

I have heard my buddies talk about it and try it but i never have yet. They tried it on a new mustang that has a large dent in the side door. It worked a bit but there was a crease that prevented it from going back to normal. Im guessing they just put a washcloth over it and tried it.

I've heard it works sometimes, but if you have a crease in the dent you're SOL and will probably have to have a body shop remove it
