It sounds like you guys got a good heads-up with your alarms. I was contemplating about getting a 2-way alarm (with auto-start/timer). But I like to think the immobilizer is good enough... Even if you do get a warning from the alarm, the minimum that would happen is some kind of cosmetic damage and the maximum would be a stolen car with a flatbed. So I considered a Lo-Jack (I'll be in CA).

Any thoughts to this?

I'm assuming you mean aftermarket stereo's?? Cause the stock one isn't anything special.

I'm downtown in the Lakewood area, but the car got hit the first time in a downtown parking garage. They hit several cars in the garage and stole my buddy's speaker box. I just moved in so my garage was full of moving boxes. I expedited my unpacking. I went back inside to get my pistol but they took off before I got back. I wasn't going to just watch them steal from me without defending my property.

Also, I don't have a factory stereo but the faceplate doesn't come off.

Me Too

My passenger window was smashed on Dec 30th. I had to spend New Years Eve getting a new window for $145. They took my detatchable face (I know I should've taken it off ), a case full of MP3 CD's, my cellphone earplug and a gym bag from the trunk. More of a hassle than anything else. They didn't want the car, just the junk inside.

I'm paranoid about which way I come into my neighborhood - If I see any Ricers I'll usually make sure they don't know where I live. I've got a nice view of my car in the parking lot from my upstairs window and my 8mm Mauser will blow a tree in half - I think I'd aim for the leg

if your really worried about getting your stuff jacked call up your insurance co. and ask if they will cover your seats, stereo, or anything else. I got allstate to cover my clarion all-in-one screen and the seats. getting the seats covered was a little tricky but luckly my dad is friends with our agent. It only cost me like an extra 30 bucks a month but i'd rather be out the 30 bucks than out 3k for repairs and replacements.
