WHITE SMOKE, need help :)
Have you done a compression test? This sounds like coolant all day long? Coolant would smell like burned sugar or maple syrup, and you said you saw white globs around the exhaust? Coolant typically turns white and globs up if it mixes with oil.
If you're seeing white globs in the exhaust, thats coolant. White smoke, coolant. That smell, coolant. So you have a coolant issue somewhere internally. I would stop driving the car immediately and take it to a competent mechanic and see what they have to say. This could be anything from a headgasket to a motor to a seal. But internal diagnosis over the web is nearly impossible aside from saying that you have a coolant problem somewhere that is getting into the exhaust.
Typically when coolant is coming out of the exhaust, this is caused by a leak in the head of the motor, I would start by checking your intake seals and any of your external coolant line seals, because it will be the cheapest. Generally, it will not be in the combustion chamber if it isn't present anywhere else. So you need to check your oil, and spark plugs. If you see scaling on the spark plugs (sorry, couldn't find a good pic of it) or any coolant in your oil, then its in your combustion chamber.
If it is NOT in your combustion chamber, you can try some variant of a leak repair and see if it works, however... my advice is to goto a qualified mechanic that you trust and have the problem properly diagnosed. But it may be time for a new head.
Either way. Don't fret until you have a mechanic look at it. Its the web, and it could very well be something much more minor.
honestly everyone is just giving you their ideas. if your not mechanic yourself i suggest you take your car to a good evo mechanic where they can diagnose the problem.
im having a temperature issue with my own evo, and i've heard if not the same thing about a head gasket, then i hear it could be something minor as well. best bet go get the car checked out.

If the situation is: no oil is disappearing, no coolant is disappearing and its smoking like crazy - well, that's impossible. Maybe there is a bunch of oil sitting in the intercooler or something.
I dont understand why all you people are saying its the piston rings or the valve stem seals. White is NOT oil. White smoke means coolant. Its obviously burning coolant from where i dont know because like someone mentioned its the internet.
The two possible places that it could be burning from is either from the headgasket or from the turbo. If you say the spark plugs are clean, then its most likely coming from the turbo, shaft play or not.

A DSM I once had had the problem of blowing white smoke. So, I parked the running car in my detached garage (do this in an attached garage and have the entire house stink and be filled with carbon monoxide) and went in the house for maybe 15 minutes. When I came back and opened the garage door the garage was filled with blue smoke. So, sometimes, oil smoke only looks blue when it is dense enough.
In my case it was valve seals.

[quote=meckert;9676490]white smoke is water--- or coolent.
grey smoke oil
blk smoke too rich..
sounds like you blew a head gasket. check radiator for bubbles while car is running or if you see brown sludge/foam around the oil cap.[/quotei i was starting to wonder when someone would clarify white smoke is coolant. so there for im going with turbo or hg
