switch from evo 9 mr to e46 m3?
should i sell or trade an evo 9 mr with 15,xxx miles for an e46 bmw m3? is it worth it? what are your opinions about this decision? what will i have to do to the evo to beat the e46 m3 on the straights? thanks.

it depends what your into. there waaayy different cars. the m3's are a ton of fun as well as the evo is. if you could care less about bolto n performance and have the cash to back up the badge, switch it up and see how you like it. worse comes to worse, you keep your spare key and steal the evo from the person you sell it to...........inb4fbi

I know M3s are sweet rides but don't do it. Especially not for a IX with such low mileage. With the Evo likely becoming extinct in the next few years that IX is going to hold it's resale value very well, not to mention the fact that the IXs are probably the most sought after generation of all Evos and they're going to become even more rare as people continue to beat on them. Throw on a few bolt-ons and a tune and you'll be able to dust a M3 easily.

two entirely different cars, with two entirely diff followings, that drive entirely diff, and have entirely different purposed. no one can tell you which one you should get bc ultimately it will be you whose driving it.
if i had a 9 with that low of mileage there is no way i would get rid of that. for a new m3, probably. an e46? no way. you should be able to take the bimmer on the straights (of a track of course) with no problem. exhaust mbc and a tune, without a doubt.
only reason to do it is if you dont care about performance and you want a fun car rwd have the cash and a much nicer ride with better interior. if you want performance, there isnt even a question.
ive drive both pretty extensively, if you want some input feel free to PM me. gl with your decision

I have an evo viii and my girlfriend drives an E92 M3 6sp. I like to drive mine around town love the quick bursts of speed. I only like the m3 on long trips, more forgiving suspension and cruise control. I know you asked about the e46 but trust me you don't want to switch and also those miles make it a no brainer.
