Hello evolutionm.net I am a new owner of a lancer evolution iv.

I am a fan of Amsoil motor oil but this time I want to switch over everything to Amsoil. I also plan to get an amsoil cone filter to replace my HKS mushroom filter.

The problem is there is no EVO IV in the vehicle list on their website so I put in a 2003 lancer turbo I assume its an EVO 8 in this link.

I was hoping some knowledgeable members or amsoil users could advise me on this list of products I made for everything. I also compared the fluids to the list of fluids used in the evo 4-10 in the pdf I attached.

Would the oil filter for the EVO 8 be the same as as EVO 4? I want to run the larger oil filter but not sure which one it is.

As fopr the filter question yes, as long as its a 4G63 engine EAO15K46 is the filter you need.

A for the other engine oil i think the previouse generations required a thicker oil like a 15W50 or 15W40.

tcase and rear diff use severegear 75W90

tranny use MTG GL4 75W90
all the other fluids and quantities are correct.

let me know i can get them shipped to Canada at a better price than most can

 

I believe that is what I have on my list right? or maybe I'm not seeing what you're seeing.

For the oil I am going with 5w30 because the pour point is lower and the temps go below -40C for long periods of time where I am. Does anyone know if that is ok for this older EVO?
