Why a oem oil filter, the reason why I ask is bc alot of ppl are using it

I use either the oem ones or the mobile 1 filters. With how critical the filter is in the evo, I'm not going to run a cheapa** filter and mess up my engine because of that. I figure if it came from the factory with it and/or the company that makes the oil they suggest to run in it makes a filter, that's what I'm going to use. Besides have heard and seen the bad results from running filter like fram and others. But to each his own, that just my .02.

Super domestic... And that means its the best. . But all jokes aside, I use oem filter too. Works for me. No problems. And it came like that ? We are already changing so many things to our car, let's leave it with some original parts ?

for what I read over the years here is because mobil 1 and other after market filters have some additives built in with them(yes am talking about the filter). Mobil 1 is what I've used since day one with no problems at all. I think some people here have tested it.
