What's the spool difference between the hta82 and the hta86. I'll be using this on a 2.3 for street and highway. No events.

Only a few hudred rpms difference in spool, but the hta86 makes up for it on the top end

The 82 will be fine for your power goals

The 86 has been proven to make 800+, the 3582 will hit surpass 600 on e85. Either turbo will work

The 82 will definitely hit your goals. Also the slightly quicker spool is nicer.

will I have to push the 82 harder to make it, or will it be just as easy?

You'll have to run more boost on the 82 than the 86 to make the same peak hp numbers.

Brother, you will be fine with the 3582. I think a 3586 is a bit overkill for you unless you want the extra room to grow in the future. The 3582 will make 650-700 easy on E85.
