ACL bearings

I have an Evo 9 with 2.3L. I used the ACL bearings. Now I'm hearing that they like to fail. Is this true? What are you guys experiences with the ACL's?

I've never heard that.

I had the choice between ACL and Clevite and went with ACL.

They are just as reliable as Clevite bearings. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes I did. I had it tuned on 93 pump, I made 466 WHP on a mustang dyno. Ran 34 PSI boost with it tapering to 29 PSI by 8500 RPM. Have not done E85 yet.

I plan on going back with at least a 3-Port boost controller and/or an O2 dump, then re-doing my pump gas tune as well as E85.
