How can i connect the interior dome light?

How can i connect the interior dome lights to a cut harness? I bought my evo as a shell and they snipped the wires of the body harness before they reach the roof. I have a non working front light and non working rear light. Any help is appreciated.

Either get the connectors from the dealer and wire them in or just run the wires directly to the lights. Polarity wont matter since its just a bulb.

Really? You're going to come back and bump your thread without replying to the people that are trying to help??

It's not hard. Just find where they cut the wires, run new wires to the dome light location, buy the plugs from the dealer, and wire it all up. If you don't want to find those wires then it gets a little more complicated but it's still easy.

I had pmed the second poster for more info before i bumped this. But confusion is in that the dome light in the middle of the roof has no place for a connector or any terminals for wires. How do i connect wires to this?

You need to get ahold of the service manual and dig into the wiring diagrams. A couple of the wires connect to the ETACS so you don't want to get that wrong.

the plug that is behind that white wire is the dome light plug. One is a 12v constant, one is switched for the auto/middle setting for your lights.

Take off your left pillar to inspect for the wires leading into your headliner. Splice and run them down and voila

hope that helps

I found the wires running up and of ciurse they were cut. The black/white wire is recieving the constant 12v but is the solid black wire supposed to get constant ground? Theres no ground coming off it.

The white striped wire is for the "always on" switch, and for your driver and passenger switch light. The black line is a switched-ground for when your doors open, so that it triggers the ETACS or whatever to turn your switched light on (middle setting).

you need to find the wires coming from your dome lights.

did you remove your drivers side windshield pillar? Is there NO wire going into your headliner? If its gonzo, then I can take my dome light assemblies apart and take pictures for you to reference where to hardwire in a new network

I saw the wires going from the fuse box and going into the left pillar but they are cut as they are passing through the pillar. There are no wires though coming off the dome light itself so im guessing I would have to solder the wires to the dome light?
