Snoctober!!

So I was planning on going home during the recent Storm we had in the north east. My and my GF were discussing not going home for the main halloween parties, but meh, whatever we left early and beat the bad stuff on the highway. I parked the evo in the drive way and watched the snow pile up. Me and my lazy 2 brothers decided to not shovel the drive way and just try to get out.

Needless to say, the big SUV and truck both got stuck coming out of the driveway, and my little "PoS" putted right on out of the driveway and they had to watch my *** drive off into the distance. (Left them to shovel themselves out )

Furthermore, I had it out after the roads had been plowed but there was still 1-2" of snow/slushy mix and I didn't even notice that it had snowed out. I was beyond thrilled with how safe me and my girlfriend felt driving around town, up HUGE hills, going in and out of un-shoveled drive ways. ( I ended up having to taxi people from a local shopping center up a large couple of hills to the house we were having our halloween party at cause no one could make it up the hill besides me )

It was a great experience having complete control of my car in the winter. Hope you all had a great snow-filled weekend as well.

Nothing beats dedicated snows. I would hate to see you on the side of the road in a snowstorm because your summer compound tires are just hard as rock and have no grip.

Typical subie guys.

It would not be that smart of an idea. You might could make it but there would def be a good chance you could have an accident.

LOL that's great! I could'nt help but mess with some of the people I was taxi-ing, but nothing to that extent.

On a side note, the roads were plowed, but not very well, so there was like a good foot+ deep snow bank like 3-4 feet from the curb. (Basically if I parked OUT of the snow my car would have been sitting in the middle of the road, and I wasn't about to do that) I a plunged the car about in a bout a foot deep in the snow and went into the party. Woke up the next morning,( ) everything was COVERED in ice, and I rolled right on out, even with ice build-up on the 2 passenger side tires.

Bring it, Mother Nature.

Those subie guys are smoking crack. You wouldn't move anywhere unless the roads are plowed. Buy a set of legit snow tires and honestly you'd feel unstoppable.
