WBO2 and Boost Gauge Setups?

Grettings all. I'm finally getting around to tuning my car, and I've been trying to soak everything up... Right now I'm at the point where I need to figure out what setup to buy to start getting some vital data. So basically I have 2 requirements, consolidated datalogging in one program (Evoscan) and minimize gauges.

1. WBO2 - I thinking of going with a Zeitronix ZT-2 + ZR-2 ($399) combo. It looks like it will integrate with Evoscan perfectly.

2. MAP Sensor - JDM Evo IX / USDM Evo X 3 bar MAP sensor or 3.5 bar sensor to use with ZT-2

3. Boost Gauge - Mechanical boost gauge (Prosport or Autometer) or ZR-2

For the sake of datalogging, what would be the best setup? To me, the boost gauge is just a nice to have visual (you can at least see if you have boost), so ZT-2/ZR-2/3.5 bar MAP sensor would be minimal as I can check AFR, lambda, and boost on the same gauge. BUT I'm not sure if the boost data will port over to Evoscan.

Another thing I may consider is if the AFR/lambda gauges is not really useful in normal driving conditions, I may just get the ZT-2 and mechanical boost gauge.

If anybody has any experience, I'd love to hear your input/suggestions.

A boost gauge itself doesn't have anything to do with Evoscan. Evoscan will read boost via the MAP sensor (I'm about 99% sure on that). Omni Power makes a 4bar map sensor that's cheaper than the oem X 3bar map sensor. I know it's overkill though. How are you controlling boost? MBC or EBCS?

Yeah I understood that. What I should have said was I want to visually monitor boost during normal driving conditions. Yes Evoscan will read boost from the MAP sensor and I already have the posts from mrfred which show how to set them up correctly. Right now, I'm not controlling boost, but when I get to that point, I'll most likely be going with a MBC.

Well I think I've decided on the ZT-2 + ZR-2 and a Prosport Halo boost gauge. I know a mechanical has a better response, but the aesthetics and peak function is what's making me go with the Halo.

+1 on the prosport halo. the peak warning is very helpful

Yeah. I think it'll be a bit difficult to see the peak boost while driving with a mechanical gauge. When I want accurate boost values, I'll just get the higher MAP sensor and read the graphs in Evoscan.
