Robispec Hood
So finally got my hood on after almost two months of waiting, and dealing with Robi, which wasn't his fault, so no discredit to the shop. Anyway, it weighed in at 8.5ish pounds, just a foot scale might not be perfect, but that is super light, I would figure its maybe, very maybe 10 pounds.
On to the mounting, the top hood mesh vent dealy was a tiny bit off on the predrilled holes, so in about ten minutes we dremmeled those out and it fit absolutely perfectly. Then mounted it up and clicked it down. The right fender was a little far away so we loosened it and pushed it in, and low and behold again a perfect fit, total elapsed time now was probably twenty minutes. Finally its a racing hood, so it might not be intended for daily use including windshield sprayers but we drilled those out clicked in the sprayers, drilled some holes for zip ties to hold the tubes in and done. Total time elapsed about 35 minutes. Seriously easiest part I have ever put on a car, perfect fitment like better than OEM which is not supposed to happen. Thanks Robi.
Anyone wanting to put a carbon hood on their car, or if you got hit like I did and want the OEM look stay away from the big companies like seibon and the super expensive companies like virtually all of them. This hood weighs less, and will fit as well or better than OEM, just paint it to match your car and no one will be the wiser.
Also I realize that a lot of people dont like the not stock appearing look, but I love the carbon look, having said that depending upon what gets thrown at the car, Colorado roads often have gravel on them and I use this car to commute to ski areas, I might paint it red and put a clear bra on it, looks pretty awesome right now though.
Also this upload is being stupid so here are the links for PICTURES

looks good!
The CF hood i got also came with no holes for the sprayers and had to do the same thing. I ended up drilling and also some light use of the dremmel to get everything to fit properly. in the end it paid off! :-D

Looks good wanted to warn you. I had the same hood on my last evo they are truly amazing so light.
However i had a problem when you put your hood up and put the prop rod in place dont let it stay up for long. I had mine up for a short amount of time and i noticed it started to sag.
Looked close and it was cracking the hood from the pressure on the hood rod.
i guess thats the price you pay for such a light hood.

Hood looks great. I see you have the wind splitter. Winter is coming up and my car doesn't have a splash guard (undertray). Don't want snow on anything. I want a splitter anyway. Would that suffice enough to keep snow out too?

Ya thats why I got mine, it goes almost as far back. Goes as far back to the wheels, but not quite as far back in the middle, it should suffice.
