Why park your Evo in the winter when it was kinda made for it?

The east cost is hard on cars with salt, just wash it off as much as you can and you should be fine.

lucky for me, i have a daily drive for the winter.lol

I bought mine to drive it - It gets rust-proofed in the fall and I rinse the undercarriage every 2 weeks or so during the winter, and when I get it detailed in the spring I also have them wash the undercarriage. Will the car last as long as it would if I'd just park it? Probably not. But I bought it to enjoy it, and the preventative measures I'm taking should allow me to enjoy it for a good amount of time.

I think its cheaper to have a DD. I park my evo so I don't need to worry about salt, other drivers, and extra miles. Also, I don't have to worry about all season tires, changing suspension, etc.

The problem for me was my 94 Corolla DD was boring, so I bought an 07 GTI. I don't know if it is cheaper than just driving the evo, but it is a fun DD, gets great gas mileage, and does decent in the snow.

It allows me to not worry about mods that would make the evo unmanagable as a DD, knowing that WI roads and winter are terrible.

I bought a Daily 97 Civic over a year ago. Just in gas savings alone I saved $2k last year.
I pull my Evo off the road during the winter so I have a TON of $ on insurance. Sure I miss it and would love to drive it but for what I do and where I park. The civic is great on snow tires year round.

I bought my Evo to be a DD and in doing that it has to be driven year round! I love playing with it in the winter, just make sure you rinse your car and it will be fine! I have no rust issues and I get where I need to be!
If you are going to drive it in the winter snow, just be careful and keep it clean!

If I could afford a second car to daily in the winter I would certainly get a beater Audi and park the evo... since I just got the evo resprayed and its pretty flawless with 97k on it... I'd prefer to not drive in the winter, but I drove it in its first storm and it was amazing... So I got new winter tires for it... bring on NE winter...

I will however regularly wash the underbody and exterior after major storms Quick detail it afterwards as well. Going to proably try that teflon stuff too
