My battery tested fine. Does anyone know what fuses I need to check. Incase I popped one of them?

Advise downloading the wiring diagrams and trace your problem from there. You'll be able to download the full shop manual from here as well. Hopefully someone will be able to chime in with specifics, in the mean time, give this a shot and see if it helps.

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread but I would like to advise people not to disconnect the battery on the car while running to test the alternator. Yes, you can test this way, yes you can narrow down the issue like this. Problem is on modern vehicles the battery also acts as a filter to stabilize the alternators output voltage. If the alternator is actually having issues, like the voltage regulator or it's diodes for example, you can do some serious damage to the control modules in the car from high voltage. I've seen small gauge wires burn off the insulation when the diodes in an alternator were bad.

Use to do this test all the time on old vehicles but if you choose to try this on any modern car use at your own risk.

Agree with above. If you don't find the test in the service manual, don't do it. It is better to go to the work of pulling the alternator and having it tested at a service center than risking trashing the electrical system.

I had to remove mine cause mine was making pulley noises. Bought an Autozone replacement cause I didn't want to pay $300 for an OEM one...... regret not doing it because after 5 months (4 of them were storage time) the pulley is making noise again. Time to source a used OEM unit and have it rebuilt by a reputable shop.

DONT BUY ONE FROM AUTOZONE (Dura-last)
