I normally drive very mildly, surely a fifteen hundred pound clutch could handle this?

He lives in England. They call their currency pounds or quid.

NEVER dump the clutch on an Evo. Slip it, two step it, but never rev then pop the clutch. It's not a Honda.

Not saying this is your cause, but i'm sure nothing good came of it either.
