Angry Help Please guys, i want to drive my evo!

Hello,

I am completely new here, so please tell me if I am in the wrong forum section etc.

I bought my first evo about two months ago, all good, lovely motor! very impressed, made my girlfriend throw up with the power first time i drove it!

Any way it was wet out and I am getting new tyres so I decided to see how the evo would drift in the wet. After finding out that its an incredible car and gripped even when dumping the clutch and going 40 round a roundabout I decided I am no pro and the evo handled too well..

After about a mile of driving I noticed that the car was hard to change gear, so much so that I could not put it into 1st or reverse.

I drove home and after searching on various forums I have done the following with no result..

1) Bled the clutch line with fresh fluid. No Change.
2) Drained and re filled the Tranny Oil. No Change.

After doing this I also noticed that the CEL Light bulb has eighter popped or been removed by the previous owner. So I pulled the codes and am getting 45 & 123.
I cannot find out what they mean according to all the Evo forums these codes seem to be missing off all the lists.

In my generic code readers manual the codes read.

P0123 TPS/Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit High Input
P0045 Turbo/Super Charger Boost Control Solenoid A Circuit Open

The car idle's very very high around 2000 so I presume this check is for the TPS and this will relate to my high idle (something I need to look at). The other code could be related to my engine being highly modified.

Also all 3 ACD lights come on every now and again but I cannot see this affecting gear change.

I cannot see these codes being related to my fault of the gears but I may be wrong.

Also the Car has a exedy twin plate clutch fitted not so long ago so I cant see it being a whole clutch replacement.

Sorry for the essay but I wanted to give you as much info as poss, and hopefully some one has had the same problem before or ma be able to help me.
Its an Evo 8 btw..

With the engine off and the clutch de pressed it will shift into any gear smoothly.

With the engine on and the clutch pressed it wont get into first or reverse, it will just about get into 3rd 4th, 5th and 6th.

If I stop the car, with the ignition off I can put it into reverse, then start the car and move it in reverse. I can change out of gear but not change back in with the engine running.

So u have a Mr, u can adjust the cables at the shifter base. U will disconect the cable on the left, turn the end of the cable (white plastic) a few turns.

hello, i will have a look under and see if I can adjust the cables, im not sure I do have an MR, the car is registered as a fq280 according to the hpi check.

even though its running over 500bhp. (it has been heavily modified to get it here)

The car is de badged, and doesn't say MR anywhere.

Please could you tell me the characteristics of an MR so i can determine if mine is.

Thanks for you patience you can probably tell that im new to the evo scene.

it is 6 speed, is there any more characteristics, here is the link for the add from when I bought the car, it says in the ad its an fq400 but I worked out that its registered as a 280.

If one of you guys can tell from the add possibly?

Also is the gear linkage adjusted at the base of the shifter or in the negine bay on top of the tranny?

Once again Thanks you guys are brilliant!!
