That's not exactly what you said. I realize that you're staring out in life and a long term automotive perspective isn't exactly a fair expectation. Mark my words: If you still care about cars 20 years from now, you'll be telling yourself how foolish you were. I've been there.


You're describing the stereotypical prince of polish. Why the extremes? I mean, why it it always a choice between driving like a ***** or not driving at all, or beating the living crap out of the car while mentioning the track at every opportunity? There's a huge grey area between the two. You know how I use my car. It has ~20K miles on it and I'm willing to bet a larger portion of it was spent at WOT than most cars here, yet it's ridiculously clean in every sense of the word. I don't slow down for sh/t, yet I can count the paint chips on one hand. The car is capable of running high-11s, not with me driving, and it's reliable to a fault. You can have your cake and eat it, too. I plan to own this car in this same condition 'till I die.
