GSC springs Vs. Brian Crower springs

I am in the process of buying GSC S2 Cams for my Evo 8. I have the normal bolt ons, 3" TBE w/cat delete, ICPing, Air intake, Omni 4 bar, Grimmspeed 3 port, walbro, 4WSTUNED. and a few others but im on stock turbo but in the future planning to run an FP of some sort.

My question here beeing what spring/retainer set is best for the price? GSC beehives (~$330) or Brian Crower (~$230)

Has anyone had major issues with the Crowers? I ask cause they seem to be the cheapest.

I am a street driver/sometimes street drag and my car is basically just a weekend warrior. (2nd car)

Any suggestions or experience with either would be great thanx
LUKE.

I have them in my talon and had them in my evo before I went to the GSC they were fine. Only reason I changed them was because I didn't know they were already upgraded till I talked to the guy I bought the car from.

The BC's are cheaper for a reason. They aren't as good.

I didn't know the GSC springs were that expensive. For that kind of money I'd buy the Kiggly valve springs. They are the best of the best.

Any more specifics or a story to that picture?

I'm currently running the BC springs with my Revolver cams (11.5mm/11.4mm lift) on the stock IX turbo. Sort of worried after seeing that picture...

Damn I cant blame you for questioning that pic. BC springs=pass. Ive never hear of Kiggly before. Any reason why those would be better than GSC beehives. As for the guy with the talon which springs are you talking about?

Well I hope your not talking about me because I sure as hell dont consider myself a pioneer. haha

It sounds like Kiggly and The GSC beehives are comparable.

off subject but I know when replacing cams the springs and retainers are right there to be changed out but is that the same for head studs? or is upgrading head studs a much more indepth changeout?

Like I said, between the two, Kiggly hands down.

Yeah they are great springs. I believe they have been tested to 11,000 RPM's.

You definitely won't go wrong buying them. They will be the last set of springs you buy

Man chech out that outstanding quality. However I have seen Works springs fail like that too. To OP, BC=junk buy at own risk. Some get lucky many don't.

All GSC Spring sets are matched to run with any GSC cam profile. They are a beehive with Ti retainer similar to the Kiggly. I believe Greg rates them at 9k+ and/or 40psi+ with some modifiers based on use. The Kiggly Beehive springs, which I use as well, are great for larger profiles that arent normally offered by GSC like the cams I am using. That and has been pointed out when you decide to rev 10,500 plus which really is not going to be many people...least on purpose.
