Caught the modding bug (need counseling!)
2. Racing on the street is bad mkay- but on a track (especially one with lots of curves) no gti or speed3 would be remotely close...
3. Traction? I have 18x11's at all four corners and really sticky 295 wide yokohamas. Traction isn't that much of an issue
You have a GT35R with 280 cams and ~0.3L added displacement.
If you have a dedicated racecar that's constantly kept on the boil with a parts budget to match the reliability quotient, great. A street Evo configured as such, not so much. I ask again, where is the fun you spoke of?
I'm not about to argue a negative. The entire post speaks for itself. Witness point-1.

EDIT - DELETE
I'll have to agree to disagree with you here. We all have our own tastes. My evo is a blast for me, maybe not so much for you.
anyway, back on topic gogo

I haven't tracked my car but I've had no issues with anything from a civic with a K swap and nitrous to a vette with a super charger.
My gas mileage sucks worse on E85. Thats about the only negative I've come across so far.

Let me define what I'm talking about by painting a common scenario: Say you're driving in traffic, running errands, cruising at ~3K RPM. An obstacle comes about, as happens many times each day. Remember, you're in traffic. Your choices are either call on some instant power and go around it, or hit the brakes. You're driving a +3200lb car with ~2.0L of displacement and no boost due to the ginormous turbo and cams. That car ain't going anywhere fast at those revs. So, the safe thing to do is to hit the brakes. Yes, I know one can downshift. Given the span of the decision making process in such an event - we're talking a fraction of a second - it's extremely difficult to do several things at once: Downshift, hit the throttle just right, turn the wheel at the same time, while looking out for traffic and pedestrians. I know my brain doesn't work that fast. So, what is one left with? A very powerful car that waits its turn behind a rolling roadblock.

I see your point. I did a few stock frame turbos and the difference in power delivery to me is acceptable. I kinda hated sometimes the fact that I couldn't drive the car without building boost all the time. Now I can drive it off boost and it still feels as quick as it did before (like I said I think its the combo of twinscroll, high compression and displacement that all contribute to that).
To each his own. I would never say I WOULDN'T go back to a more sane setup (stock frame).....I just can't envision a scenario where I would currently.
