i say keep the 9 but if u want the quick power without spending money and deep down u kno everything about the other car the go for it .. up to u

Depends on what your end goal is, but unless you have a shop who really knows what is going on look everything over I'd say no. With 5000 miles on the built motor you don't know if any damage has been done to it or the transmission. There has to be a reason this guy is shooting at losing atleast 10 grand to go to the IX. On the other hand he could just want a IX for looks. I would say look at difference in book, then look at difference in mods, then add in how the car makes you feel. If your IX does it for you and the VIII doesn't the 500hp will slowly lose its thrill and you'll end up regretting it.

 

Your gut feel is the way you should go. It didn't do it for you then don't do it.

 

Keep your car man. WW is one of the best colors for an Evo, if not the best color. If you didnt feel comfortable in the car when you drove it unlike the 9 then you will regret it. Even though it is built and more modded then yours, i would just take your time building your car whether it does take some time GL Man

 

If it's your DD, keep the IX. If it's a toy/project/track/weekend car, go for the VIII. Just my $0.02

Keep the 9...you know most of it's history, takes the guesswork out of future issues.
