Brake Calipers Installation?

Can I install a passenger side caliper on the drivers side or vice versa? Has anybody had to do this for whatever reason?

The calipers will mount to either side of the car. Your problem is going to be getting the air out of the caliper if you install it to the wrong side. The bleeder will be faceing the wrong way to allow air out.

Not recommended as you will not be able to bleed them.

Yes. Those are interchangeable. But again, the two halfs of the caliper are completely different.

I see what you mean... The calipers look like they start off the same, and then the holes are drilled based on which side of the car it will be on. I think it would be possible to plug and tap, but I'm not sure how that will hold up.

Oh well, looks like I'll just find another driver's side caliper.

Thanks guys.
