If you wanted to sell it in a few years, sell it to a Canadian. All cars 15yrs or older gets the automatic street-legal green light up here (just needs safety and maybe etest depending on the province).

Sidenote: 2 more years 'till theres a mass exodus of r34 GTRs into Canada, lol.

Quote: Are you planning to keep it stock? I guess if you don't ever plan to sell it you can go crazy with mods though lol.

Also because it's not street legal, does this mean you pretty much have to have it trailered every time you take it out somewhere?

Finally how does insurance work on a car like this?

Congrats though, she's a beaut.
I plan to make it a track toy. I could look into temp plates if I don't want to have to trailer it, but each state is different regarding that. Thanks for the compliments, I'm definately excited and relieved that I was able to get the car to the US legally.

I would buy a Mirage for the same year, and swap the vin information over. Say you used it as a parts car.

Well one thing is for certain. If you ever fall on hard financial times you can always sell the car. I'm willing to bet you could sell that car for $50k+++

That's a beautiful car. My goodness.

We are coming up on the 15 year exemption in Canada as a poster mentioned. This would be a terrific car to import. Now finding one in this shape, that's a different issue.

Would you be interested in the white tme wheels (10 spoke) made by enkei and have the "wrc tarmac evo" on them? I'm gonna change my wheel setup soon and they would go great with this car.

I have the original set for the car but a couple of them have a good bit of curb rash. I was considering having them repaired, so I would only need two.
