I'm planning on working with a local shop in my area to make mods to the car.. however I've decided that everything that is done, will be done with the intent of not voiding the warranty.. ECU upgrade, Exhaust, smoothed turbo ducting, etc.. OF course, its too soon to be sure what I'll ultimately do.. I didn't get the car yet, and most of us haven't even broken in the engine or even the brakes..

teamdomokun .... I'm in the market for a complete exhaust system (downpipe, offroad pipe, cat-back) for my evo, and there aren't too many reviews yet. Looking at HKS (not avail. yet), JIC, RMR, Buschur Racing, GRetty, and Apexi. Just wanted to know what you think of your Aprexi GT spec exhaust ... as far as performance and sound. Also, is it a light system? Did you buy it locally, or on-line ... etc. I LIKE the fact that APEXI uses 95mm piping and the downpipe replace the cat = easier to install?

ecu only voids your warranty if they can see it just do the excede plug and play vishnutuning.com guys are having a field day with it, youd need a s-afc, msd ignition, and a datalogger to come close to what their one unit does, i got to drive one of their evos for an hour with the mod and 3inch exhaust and it just sweeps past 7000rpms without slowing down, the mods are great.... youll see about 18percent hp gain, on their dyno ''182''whp goes up to 215whp or so, so on these ''240whp'' dynos your car would be going to ''285'' or so....

Ralliart Japan already has an ECU out for the Evo VIII, but it's for domestic rally competition only. Maybe Ralliart USA will come out with a streetable ECU that will not void the warranty. I definitly hope they would bring the JDM Ralliart part over here.

Here's a link to the Ralliart parts avaliable to the JDM Evo VIII
