Gauge pod setup

I'm trying to decide what to do gauge-wise, and just thought I'd see if anyone has any suggestions. I've got a 9 MR, and I'm trying to see if it's possible to replace the triple gauge cluster below the HVAC with better aftermarket gauges, particularly a boost gauge that reads in PSI. I see an Autometer setup that has the triple gauges below the HVAC, but I'm not sure if that will work or not - anyone have any pics or experience with this? If I did that, I'm not sure what other gauges I'd want to install, because right now I really just want a better boost gauge.

Has anyone just taken the factory triple cluster and modded it to fit a 52mm gauge or anything like that? I haven't measured or looked real closely at it, so I'm not sure if that's even doable. I'm toying with the idea of just doing a typical a-pod setup, but part of me wants to keep gauges kinda out of the way so that other people can't see them as easily, etc.

If anyone has any photos of their setup or suggestions on what may be a good option, I'd love to hear it.

Is autometer what you what? Cause there are other 52mm gauges that would look better. The defi 52mm racer gauges are nice. Along with the AEM digital gauges

I bought defi gauges to replace the oem ones and did a triple gauge pillar than custom fitted a hks evc 6 and hks afr where the oem ones were facing me and staggered. I'll get some pictures for you.

Autometer makes the triple lower pod setup, but if it allows for 52mm gauges; I'm not sure which ones I would get. Just trying to figure out where I'll put the gauges and how many gauges I'm gonna need first.

Yeah if you could show some pics of the defi gauges replacing the oem ones, that would be great

Im rocking the AEM true boost, uago and oil pressure. defi's are very nice but pretty pricey. you have to get the gugues plus the power box thing. i already looked into it and it was about 800 for 3 n power box

what kind of boost controller do you have? I got the HKS electronic boost controller and that serves as a boost gauge as well. I still have the factory gauges but I'm planning to replace them with oil pressure, AFR, and oil temp. Oh, and my turbo timer also serves as a voltmeter if you wanted to keep the same gauges.

At the moment I just have an old MBC, nothing real special, so just a regular boost gauge would work for me. EVOL-IX-MR - cool photo, and those gauges look great, but I'm sorta aiming to have the gauges down by where the factory MR gauges are, in the center where they're not as easy to recognize when looking in from the outside. Does anyone have a setup like this? I know those tiny gauges that come with the car are too small, but I was hoping to be able to get some 52mm gauges or so to fit there, and was wondering if people have done this. Any input is appreciated, thanks for the replies!

Gauges in the MR are on the HVAC panel. There is no looking down.
