Question Newbie mechanic questions for monstrous EVO

Hi
I bump into this forum from another forum (mazda club – I am a proud owner of a Mazda 2 ). However my mechanic knowledge are not very well (just the basics ) and I have some questions for some of your monstrous car.

So I have tag with numbers some engine parts and if someone could give at least the name of the part (so can google it) or a bit of explain what that part does.

First the purple things, what are the names of these magnificent things:

and some more (4,5,6,7,8):

Thanks in advance and sorry about my ignorance, but I try to learn!
