Most important of all, can you duplicate it or even close to it without downhill roads? I've had some spikes in the past of 27 mpg pure city driving, but could never duplicate it willingly.
stock block, can't post timing table, and crusing between 55 and 70, for different roads all in 5th, yes 5th even works at 45 mph, also not gonna lie, where i could I threw it into neutral and just coasted (don't tell the cops.)
I was mostly on I70 coming down out of the mountains then down into boulder. The entire road isn't completly downhill obviously, but the general trend is about a 4000-5000 foot elevation loss

How many gallons did you put in when you did fill up? Most I ever pushed it was 326 miles and put 12.69 gallons in her. It was on me daily cummute and I avg 26mpg. Congrats on the 361!

Its amazing that my 92 awd talon had better gas mileage than I get in the evo right now. Maybe its time for a new tune. I cant seem to get great gas mileage out of the evo on 93 even w/o boosting.

Yeah, the old DSM had a good blend of performance and practicality. Too bad the cars got old, it's hard to find a nice one anymore.

My 90 Laser gets great mileage. I'm averaging 35mpg on the stock block with 287k miles on it, and I beat on it regularly. It's too much fun, I can't hold back!

Really need to know how many gallons it took to fill to know what your gas milage was. If you rolled in on empty then you had 25.78 mpg (361/14 gallons) I rarely go beyond 250 before getting gas. I don't want to run out even though I keep track. I see 25+ in the summer and about 23 in the winter.

Yeah, I had a fuel pump go bad from running the tank down too far. I pulled into the gas station and the pump was squealing and sucking in air. It quit shortly after that. I don't recommend it.

I agree on the less drag part but my evo is lighter than than my dsm's. Tires were also about the same. And youre right, they did have taller gears.

Its possible, but hard. I got about 345 miles/tank averaged on a road trip from VA to ME, and the final totals worked out to about 28.2/3 MPG. Thats entirely highway!

Cities i never got over 20.

It takes more E85 to run normally than reg pump gas does. Can't remember how much exactly but I thought it was like 15 to 25 percent more, not sure exactly but something like that
