For a 06 EVO MR does the stock Center Hood mesh assembly from an OEM/stock HOOD would fit the aftermarket SEIBON CW Hood. Are the measurements the same because the mesh on my Seibon hood is kinda flimsy and weak and I was wondering if i can replace that with the OEM mesh assembly from the stock hood.

 

Just remove the stock one and try it in the cf hood. It's very easy to take out and test fit.

 

no it doesnt really fit correctly. its the same shape and similar size but you have to do some "custom" work to make it stay in. for the record i made it work but its no masterpiece by any means

What can I do to fix the loose mesh. Some of the studs on the hood snapped off so now the mesh is loose

 

Are you also using the stock airguide with the mesh?... I bolted the mesh to the air guide and the used the crappy bolts that came with the hood to hold everything to the hood. It's pretty ghetto, but the it never came loose. However I no longer use the CF hood because it was way too much maintenance and it still clouded and peeled. GL

 

I bought the car a couple of weeks and it came with carbon fiber hood, fenders and a rear lip. I'm not crazy about carbon fiber it is indeed high maintenance.
