Question transmission powder coating?

I have been looking around trying to see if anyone has ever powder coated their transmission? im bored sitting waiting for all my new parts from my sponsor to show and would like to see if it can be done without causing any problems? anyone ever see or hear of this? i have two trans sitting in my garage and think it would look amazing to do one in high temp black or something. im just worried about something getting dameged if i was to have a local shop atempt it. anyone think it can be easily done?

I'm interested to know also. Defenitly a way to keep it nice in the engine bay. Saw a few honda-tech threads through goggle of people powder coating their transmission chrome, and silver. I mean I wouldn't see it being a problem. But I don't have experience with podwer coating

its hard to powdercoat cast aluminum like that. they gas out and leave flaws. they can also warp. onn something like a transmission case, i wouldnt risk it. stick to non structural parts for powdercoating.

I would think that anodizing would be the way to go.

thats actually a really good idea, i would be worried about them being able to get all the oils out of a used case for it to turn out good though.

A rattle can painted transmission is not stealth ....it's ricetastic!
A car that looks stock and rips your doors off is stealth ...just saying

Paint pictures not transmissions!

Have the case bead blasted. It will look gawjusss. Looking uber fresh is the best approach.

Powdercoating is not durable enough. Soon as you start bolting it up, it will chip.
