Doing the 60k maint and it jumped timing and once I took the valve cover off several springs were stuck compressed.

Reassembly has begun:

Pistons and rods bolted in and torqued:

Head is assembled and cam caps are torqued:

That was all the progress from last night. Taking my time on reassemble.

Weekend progress:

I still need 2 copper crush washers for the oil line that runs on the firewall side of the head and just below the intake manifold.

Once I have those I should be able to finish in a couple hours.

A little update from last night, torqued down the exhaust header, connected all coolant and vacuum lines on the intake side of the motor, fuel supply and return lines connected, the coolant and oil lines for the turbo are bolted up, oil return line is bolted back up to the oil pan, oil filter is attached and we set the cam gears to their timing marks and placed the tool in-between the cam gears that is made to hold them in place.

Tonight's tasks include but not limited to, connecting all electrical lines, bolting down the valve cover, setting the crank shaft to TDC, putting the timing belt back on, accessory belt install, gap and install spark plugs, install intake and upper intercooler pipes, fill with all fluids and crank... *fingers crossed*
