The Synapse BOV with the recirc kit or their newer DV are absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended.

The bov looks like its recirculated back to crank case. Hate to be a pia but your missing a spark plug cover as well lol. As far as tuning goes just get it scanned and possibly reflashed until you figure out what route your going, no need to go ***** to the walls and do what every forum member tells you to do. Congrats on the purchase and enjoy it.

As far as recomandations go everyone will give you a different answer. It all comes down what you want and prefer. I'm sure synapse bov is good but I have a HKS ssqv with UICP no recirc kit and works like a dream and nothing beats that whistle IMO.

A friend of mine has that BOV on his 95 Talon TSi, he's running speed density, and it sounds pretty awesome venting to atmosphere, i'll have to agree...

You don't need the inconveniences of VTA to get a nice sound, my recirculated Synapse sounds fantastic

Grats on your recent acquisition, dude! That's one solid ride. I can't wait till I'm in the position to grab myself up an Evo.

RA's traded in already, finalized everything this evening. And something tells me the dealership I traded it to would frown upon the removal of body parts...

My recirc'ed synapse; don't need the inconveniences of VTA to get a nice sound
Cool story bro. Not sure what that video is supose to show but sounds like you have sputter issues. Not here to argue with anyone or try to promote parts. Bottom line comes down to what you like. To the OP trial and error with a little reaserch every one on here started out some what clueless, advice from other members works don't have to settle for what the first guy says. Make a new thread and post the questions you have to get a variety of answers and suggestions. Once again nice purchase and enjoy it.

The video is just to show that you don't need to go VTA just to hear the BOV. And not sure what you mean by "sputter issues"

If you have any questions about the car let me know. The previous owner and I did alot of work on it. Just to prove I know what im talking about you got the carpet and stuff off him last night which was in my garage lol.

In all seriousness this car has led a very hard life.
